Reto von der Becke is the owner, Chairman and CEO of VDB Group. He is an entrepreneur at heart and benefits from many years of experience and expertise in consumer goods, direct selling and private equity. Prior to founding VDB Group, he was CEO of Lux International, a global Swiss consumer goods company with a particular focus on clean drinking water and clean air. After establishing Lux International in more than 50 countries worldwide together with his management team and leading the company to a turnover of CHF 200 million through sustainable growth, he successfully sold the Swiss group to a strategic investor from India.

Reto von der Becke was a co-founder and long-time board member of DSE (Direct Selling Europe), the Brussels-based leading association of European direct selling companies. He is an active member and Chapter Chair of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and a member of the YPO Presidents’ Programmes at Harvard Business School and Oxford SAID Business School. He holds a Magna Cum Laude CEMS Master’s degree in Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, both from the London School of Economics.

In addition to his role as Chairman and CEO of VDB Group, Reto also sits on the Board of Directors of several Swiss and international companies and is Industry Partner and Lead Investor of a Swiss private equity group. As Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of our direct investments Seven Sundays and PepperParties, Reto is also more actively involved in the strategic and operational development of the companies and works very closely with the respective management to successfully accompany the companies on their expansion course.

Reto von der Becke was born in Switzerland. He is the proud father of twins and a passionate skier, runner and tennis player.
